My heritage is Latvian. I was born in a refugee camp in Germany after World War II. I immigrated here with my family when I was three years old. My Latvian heritage has been a big influence for my work. Many of the decorative motifs I use are derived from Latvian textile designs. Her designs are brilliant !"
